A ‘Good’ Primary School located in the centre of Blackburn are looking to appoint a Year 3 Teaching Assistant on a part-time basis. The role is due to commence after mid- November and is initially set to run until Christmas, with the potential to be made permanent.

As a Teaching Assistant, you would be required to:

• Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons
• Work across classes (approx. 28-31 pupils) to encourage a positive attitude to learning
• Assist in the management of behaviour
• Work with children on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide extra support where needed, specifically targeting maths, reading, and writing abilities

To be considered for the role, you must have recent experience within a Primary School and possess a good understanding of the national curriculum. The Head Teacher has stipulated that they are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for supporting children in their education and achieving their maximum potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
