Pay: £89–£95 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant seeking your next role in the Thornton area?

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working with a warm and inclusive primary school in Thornton, which is looking to appoint a Year 3 Teaching Assistant for the upcoming academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils as they begin their Key Stage 2 journey. You’ll work closely with a supportive class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, maintain classroom routines, and provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting Year 3 pupils with their learning across the curriculum
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and topic-based activities
• Providing tailored support to children with SEN or additional needs
• Helping to manage classroom behaviour and daily routines
• Preparing learning resources and contributing to a positive classroom environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in KS2
• A calm, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
