On behalf of a lovely Primary School based in Camberwell in between Burgess and Brunswick parks Teaching Personnel is recruiting for two Year 3 Class Teachers to start ASAP. The school has excellent facilities including their own sports centre that they make regular use of and there is an Autism Resource base on site. The school is walking distance from Denmark Hill Station and very well connected to numerous bus routes.

The school is passionate about creating good relationships throughout the school to foster a positive ethos and reinforce positive attitudes to learning. They have a firm belief in the idea of 'learning for living' and encourage ambition and drive in their pupils. They believe that school is much more than lessons and teach values such as respect, tolerance and friendship.

The school offers a broad curriculum that encourages children to become independent thinkers. Learning is supported through a wide range of enrichment activities including residential trips and visits to historic, geographic and scientific areas of interest. Students are encouraged to work co-operatively and respect each other's values, beliefs and cultures to prepare them for the next stage of their education and for their future lives. Because of the focus on co-operation, pupil behaviour is good with students generally well behaved and polite.

You will be joining a team of committed and reflective staff which includes HLTAs, a team of therapists to support emotional well-being and learning mentors. The school is keen to tailor this position to the right candidate and are able to offer a TLR for Subject Leadership for candidates with suitable interest and experience. They are looking to pay according to MPS/UPS.

If you feel like this school could be the right fit for you, the school are hoping to interview on a rolling basis over the next two weeks. The criteria for shortlisting include:

  • UK QTS (or be in your first three years of UK teaching as an Overseas Trained Teacher)
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • A good sense of humour
