Job description

A school in the Bootle area of Liverpool, who in the past 12 months have received a GOOD grading by Ofsted, have approached Teaching Personnel in the last week to shortlist a number of teachers for a Year 3 role, to start in September 2019. The Head teacher is keen to meet every shortlisted Teacher with the view to seeing them plan and deliver a high quality Maths or English lesson.

Generally, the children who attend the Bootle located school tend to arrive from a variety of social backgrounds and mostly from socially deprived. As a result of this, the children tend to arrive with low language skills and academic ability. With this, you will be expected to tailor your delivery to ensure that all children are able to access the Curriculum and in turn, creating an individualised learning environment. The school has a high percentage of children with English as an additional language; mainly children from Asian heritage families attend the school.

Non negotiables for the role are:

  • You must hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • You must have previous experience of working in KS2 - preferably Year 5 & 6
  • You must have a track record of raising attainment in KS2
  • You must be able to evidence good behaviour management techniques

If you are interested in applying for this role, then please do not hesitate to apply!

If you would like more information regarding the role please contact Emma in the office on: 0151 244 5430 or send through an up to date CV and cover email to:
