Year 3 School Teacher

Location: Finchley

Start Date: January

Contract type: Full Academic Year

Contract term: Permanent

Salary: M1 - M2 (Outer London)

A reputable primary school in Barnet is currently looking for a passionate teacher to join them in January as one of their permanent members of staff is going on maternity leave from Christmas. The teacher should have experience teaching a year 3 class and have a genuine passion about inspiring pupil but also enjoy doing so. In their last Ofsted review they were rewarded Good due to the quality of teaching but require improvement on motivating their high achieving students to become an Outstanding rated school. The school is a two form entry and is partnered with a junior school to provide stability to all students and adequately prepare them for secondary school. All classrooms are equipped with modern equipment and the children have access to a large library which is stocked termly with new recourses. The successful candidate will be someone who is able to join in efforts to reveal the schools full potential in getting students ready for secondary school.

The school gives all teachers opportunities to adapt the national curriculum in a teaching style that adheres to the learning abilities within the class. In addition to this, the school boasts a friendly and energetic school environment where both staff and students benefit from regular training sessions and extra curricular activities.

What we are looking for?

  • Qualified Teaching Status
  • 1 Years Experience within a primary school
  • Possess a Valid DBS certificate
  • Interested in teaching KS1
  • Happy to support SEN pupils alongside a dedicated Teaching Assistant

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
