Job description

A friendly and welcoming school in South Bristol is looking for a year 2  class teacher to join them immediately until the end of the academic year. The school is an academy that is underpinned by the values of: respect, integrity, perseverance and consideration which are foundations to their success.

This school is in a highly deprived area of Bristol, so working in partnership with the parents/community is essential.

This role will require a strong, year 2 class teacher with good behaviour management, who can provide consistency for the class until the end of the academic year. You will be provided with weekly PPA time in order to plan and prepare lessons for the class. You will be delivering unique lesson, mostly with the help of a teaching assistant.

The successful candidate will have:

  • UK qualified teacher status,
  • Experience of working as a teacher within the last 10 years,
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply for this role,
  • Be able to differentiate content for pupils with SEND,
  • Have good behaviour management,
  • Be able to utilise formative and summative assessment to maximise pupil progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
