Job Title: Year 2 Teacher - Chorley

Location:

North West England, Lancashire, Chorley

Salary:

£140 - £200 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for Year 2 students
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback and support where needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in a Year 2 classroom
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 1

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Specialist training in teaching Key Stage 1 students

Working Conditions:

This role involves working during school hours, with additional time required for lesson planning, assessment, and meetings. The successful candidate will be based in a vibrant primary school setting in Chorley, Lancashire, and will work closely with a supportive team of educators.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
