Job Title: Year 2 Teacher - Ormskirk

Location: North West England, Lancashire, Ormskirk

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £140 - £200 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Year 2 students
  • Assess and record student progress, providing feedback to parents and stakeholders
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher conferences

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, specifically Year 2
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Proven experience teaching Year 2 students
  • Understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or related field
  • Experience working in a diverse classroom setting
  • Training in special educational needs (SEN) or behaviour management

Working Conditions:

  • Temporary position with Full-Time hours
  • Classroom-based teaching in a primary school setting
  • Regular interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Potential participation in extracurricular activities and school events

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
