Year 2 - Maths Graduate Required - Interventions

Are you a Maths Graduate? Do you have experience working with KS1 pupils? Are you passionate about working with children?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a client school based in Heywood and would like for a Teaching assistant with a Maths specialism to join their team. The role is on a full time, long term basis with the possibility of becoming permanent if agreed by the Head teacher.

This is a 'Larger than Average' sized school which has been rated as 'Good' by Ofsted. The Head teacher is very ambitious and supportive of the staff members and staff morale in the school is very high. The pupils are very well behaved in and around the school and are very polite and enthusiastic about learning. They enjoy going to the school and are respectful to staff and each other. The majority of children are currently performing at an average level in reading and writing.

The ideal candidate will have a Maths degree (or similar) and prior experience working with children. Being able to support pupils to become independent, co-operative and collaborative learners is essential. An individual is required with excellent communication skills and a proactive and a positive 'can do' attitude.

The Year 2 class are known to be lovely to work with and are very well behaved. Extra support is required for a small number of children in the class; work will need to be carried out on a 1:1 basis and small groups. The candidate will also need to be flexible as they also be required to work with small groups of children from other year groups.
