A Primary School located in the centre of Accrington have contacted Teaching Personnel, as they require a Year 1 Teaching Assistant. The role would be starting after October half term until July 2020 with a view to the position becoming permanent. You would be needed on a full time basis Monday - Friday (8.45am - 3.30pm). The role consists of working in the classroom supporting particular children in the class as well as delivering interventions to a small group of children. The interventions would be mainly focused on Phonics, Fine Motor skills and Vocabulary development. The successful candidate would be expected to provide quality support in line with the KS1 Curriculum framework, specifically targeting Maths, Reading and Writing skills.
The class you would be supporting is average sized with a mixed catchment of white British and Asian heritage. The Deputy Head teacher, who deals with the recruitment in school, has noted that they will be looking for a Level 2 teaching assistant who can work effectively using their own initiative and improve standards under the leadership of the class teacher.

Rate of pay: £9.50- £11.50 per day
