Year 1 Teacher
- Full-time (Monday- Friday)
- Competitive salary (GBP90- GBP135 per day)

- Start date April 2021
A school in Accrington (BB5) is looking to appoint a Year 1 teacher to start after Easter half-term (April), this position has arisen due to long-term sickness. The position is currently short-term until the end of the academic year, however, there is potential for a long-term position within the school.
The school is of average size and has a number of children with additional needs. The successful applicant would need to be able to uphold the schools ethos and have a positive attitude towards pupil progression. Within the school there is a supportive Senior Leadership Team who are keen to welcome a new member to the Key Stage 1 team.
The Role:
The successful applicant would need to be experienced in teaching KS1 and especially knowledgeable within the Year 1 classroom. You would be expected to plan lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum and be able to demonstrate previous experience of progress tracking within an educational setting. The Head Teacher within this school has a high standard of teaching and is passionate about progressing pupils and staff.
Candidates:
- NQTS and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
- Be able to demonstrate a knowledge of Key Stage 1 teaching
- Must have strong communication skills to build relationships with pupils and parents
- Have experience in pupil progression and raising attainment
- Consistently implement the school’s strong behavioural strategy
