Key Stage 1 Teacher - Maternity leave - Sept 17

  • Small village school on outskirts of Colchester - Ofsted Good
  • Maternity Cover for 2 terms from September
  • Competitive Rates of Pay

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a small village school in the outskirts of Colchester for a Key Stage 1 teacher to cover a period of maternity for 2 terms starting in September. You will be expected to teach children in Year 1 and 2 as part of a mixed class.

The school has been around since the 19th century and are a happy, friendly school at the heart of the community outside Colchester. They aim to provide an environment which is both nurturing and challenging, encouraging all members of the school community to be the best they can be. They respect and know that each child is an individual and they take the time to listen and get to know every pupil so that they can support them in the best possible way.

The school currently has 160 pupils on roll, and it compromises of mixed classes due to the small number in each year group. They uphold their Christian values well and are a Good School graded by Ofsted and have been a Good school since 2013. The school currently meets the government floor standards for English & Maths. The teachers are also ambitious and are committed to raising standards and attainment.

You will also be an ambitious teacher with strong background in Key Stage 1. You will be prepared to teach mixed ability groupings due to mixed year group classes and will be committed to the school's Christian ethos. You should also be able to travel to the Colchester area.
