Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Year 6 Teacher to join our school community in Blackburn. This is a full-time position, commencing in September 2024, with the potential for a longer-term role. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience of our Year 6 students and fostering their growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 6 students, following the national curriculum, and adapting your teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Assessment: Regularly assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning and encourages student participation.
- Planning: Prepare and deliver well-structured lesson plans, utilising a variety of teaching resources and technology to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices, attend staff meetings, and contribute to the overall development of the school.
- Parental Engagement: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and encourage their involvement in their education.
- Safeguarding: Ensure the welfare and safety of all students, following the school's policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience in teaching Year 6 or similar age group.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to the growth and development of students.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
