Year 1 Class Teacher – Full Time Position
Fulwood Primary School, Preston

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join our welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Fulwood, Preston. This full-time role begins in September 2026 and offers the chance to make a real impact at a key stage in children’s early education.

We are seeking a confident practitioner who is passionate about teaching young children and committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences, with a particular strength in systematic, engaging phonics teaching.

About the Role

  • Full-time Year 1 class teacher responsibility from September 2026
  • Delivery of high-quality, well-structured phonics sessions to support early reading development
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and progress
  • Working collaboratively within the Key Stage 1 phase team

What We’re Looking For

  • Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a fully inducted, experienced teacher
  • Confident teaching and managing a KS1 classroom
  • Strong understanding of early reading and phonics instruction
  • Enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
