Reception Class Teacher (EYFS) – Full Time Position
Fulwood Primary School, Preston

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join our welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Fulwood, Preston. This full-time role begins in September 2026 and offers the chance to play a vital role in shaping children’s earliest school experiences.

We are looking for a confident practitioner who is enthusiastic about working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and committed to delivering high-quality, play-based learning that supports children’s development across all areas of learning. A strong understanding of early language development and high-quality phonics teaching is essential.

About the Role

  • Full-time Reception Class Teacher responsibility from September 2026
  • Delivery of high-quality EYFS provision in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
  • Planning and providing engaging, purposeful learning opportunities through continuous provision and adult-led teaching
  • Strong focus on early reading, communication and language development, including systematic phonics teaching
  • Working collaboratively within the EYFS and wider school team

What We’re Looking For

  • Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a fully inducted, experienced teacher
  • Confident teaching within an EYFS setting and supporting children’s transition into school
  • Strong knowledge of early child development and the EYFS curriculum
  • Nurturing, enthusiastic, and committed to providing an outstanding start to children’s education
