Welsh teaching assistant - Newport

Teaching Personnel are looking for welsh speaking teaching assistants to work in our client schools in the Newport area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a life long difference to the pupils' development and progression in learning. Responsibilities will include working one-to-one or within small groups of pupils, supporting pupils with learning difficulties, preparing resources prior to the lessons, providing feedback to the class teacher on the pupil/pupils progression and preparing the classroom for the next day.

Applicants must :

- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided)
- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) - please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border
- Provide at least two professional or character references
- Be available to interview and/or trial asap
- Be available to start on short notice
