Your Role:
- Support Welsh language learning – Guide and inspire students to become confident Welsh speakers, whether it's through classroom support, one-on-one mentoring, or group activities.
- Collaborate with teachers – Assist in delivering fun and interactive Welsh lessons that engage students of all abilities.
- Create a fun learning atmosphere – From classroom games to creative projects, your ideas will bring the Welsh language to life!
- Travel to different schools – This is where the adventure begins! You’ll need your own transport and be ready to travel around Carmarthenshire (up to 30 minutes or more – we’ll cover the mileage!).
- Be a role model – Be a friendly, approachable, and passionate presence who encourages students to embrace Welsh as a part of their daily lives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fluency in Welsh – You’re fluent in Welsh (both written and spoken), and you want to share that passion with students.
- A love for teaching – You enjoy working with young learners, creating engaging lessons, and making education fun.
- A team player – You’ll work closely with teachers and other assistants, so being collaborative and positive is key!
- Own transport – You’ve got your own wheels (and a driving licence), as you’ll be travelling to different schools within Carmarthenshire.
- Flexible, proactive, and positive – You can think on your feet, stay upbeat, and keep things running smoothly (even when things get busy)!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
