£89.38 per day (£13.75 per hour)
Location: Near Merthyr Tydfil | Full Academic Year | Primary School
Do you speak Welsh and enjoy helping children learn and grow? One of our friendly partner primary schools near Merthyr Tydfil is looking for a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time for the upcoming academic year.
No formal teaching qualifications? No problem. We’re looking for kind, dependable people with the right attitude and a passion for working with children.
About the Role:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support pupils aged 3–11 across the classroom and in small groups
• Use Welsh and English to encourage learning, play, and communication
• Assist teachers with lessons, activities, and classroom organisation
• Help promote positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional well-being
• Provide 1:1 support for children with additional learning needs (ALN), such as Autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs

• Speaks Welsh confidently and values bilingual education
• Is patient, caring, and enjoys working with young children
• Has experience in childcare, youth work, mentoring, or support roles
• Wants to start or build a career in education – no qualifications required, just enthusiasm and commitment

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Two professional references from the past 2 years
