£89.38 per day (£13.75 per hour)

Do you have a caring nature, plenty of patience, and a genuine interest in helping children thrive? We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Treharris that’s seeking a Support Assistant to join their team and make a difference in the classroom every day.
Experience is great, but your attitude matters most – we can help you with the rest.
The Role
As a Support Assistant, you will:
- Work closely with the class teacher to create a positive learning environment
- Support children aged 4–11, including those with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, or social, emotional, and mental health challenges
- Encourage learning through play, creativity, and structured activities
- Offer one-to-one or small group support to help pupils achieve their best
Who We’re Looking For
You might be:
- An experienced carer, teaching assistant, nursery nurse, or youth worker
- Someone with a background in customer service or volunteering who enjoys working with children
- Friendly, reliable, and committed to supporting children’s growth and confidence
Requirements
We’ll guide you through the process, but you will need:
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Two professional references from the last two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
