Welsh-Speaking Primary Teacher
Location: Merthyr Tydfil, Blackwood & Bargoed
Contract: Flexible working
Pay Rate: £172.98 per day
Start Date: As soon as possible
Are you a passionate Welsh-speaking Primary Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in local primary schools?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to work within Welsh-medium and bilingual primary schools across the Merthyr, Blackwood and Bargoed areas. This role offers the opportunity to teach across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning through the medium of Welsh.

About the Role
• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons through the medium of Welsh
• Provide high-quality learning experiences across the primary curriculum
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities
• Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that builds confidence and participation
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
We’re looking for someone who is:
• A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
• Passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• Flexible, reliable, and committed to making a difference
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
Requirements
Teaching Personnel provides guidance and support for obtaining the following:
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
• Two professional references covering the last two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
