Position: Teaching Assistant
Locations recruiting for: Carmarthen, Llanelli, Swansea, Neath Port Talbot
Pay: GBP10 per hour including holiday pay, pension and NI contributions.
Contract: Day to day, part time, full time
Start date: CORONAVIRUS NOTICE: Teaching Personnel are still recruiting staff during this time of crisis, in preparation for vacancies to start in the eventuality of schools reopening. All interviews for positions will be conducted over Zoom or telephone and you will be expected to attend a face-to-face interview where we can verify your documents prior to commencing the role.

If you are already considering a career in teaching, this opportunity is for you. Teaching Personnel are offering graduates work in schools as part of a Future Teachers Programme. Placements will provide a valuable insight into the role of a qualified teacher to help you decide if this is the career for you, before beginning initial teacher training. During the placement you will work full time and receive weekly pay as a Teaching Assistant.
If you are looking to apply to get on the PGCE course, whether in Primary or Secondary, you will be expected to gain some experience working with children prior, therefore why not let Teaching Personnel help you get the experience whilst getting paid for it too?

Your roles and responisibilites will vary based on the type of school you are placed at. However you can expect to:
- Carry out several classroom/lesson observations to experience varying teaching styles
- Plan a lesson for a specific subject or topic
- Judge the learning outcomes of pupils
- Provide small group and one-to-one tuition to help raise pupil attainment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
