Job Title: Unqualified Teacher of Food Technology

Location: West Northamptonshire

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: Easter 2025

About Us: A vibrant and inclusive secondary school committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a love for learning. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an unqualified Teacher of Food Technology.

Job Description: As an unqualified Teacher of Food Technology, you will:

  • Deliver planned engaging and practical lessons in Food Technology to students aged 11-16.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop their culinary skills and knowledge of nutrition.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons and resources.
  • Support students in practical cooking sessions, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Food Technology curriculum.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to Food Technology.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for food and cooking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire young people.
  • Willingness to learn and develop teaching skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school and students.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant industry experience is desirable but not essential.
