Unqualified Teacher (Cover Supervisor)

Full time Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher required to supervise both KS3 and GCSE lessons when planned and unplanned absences arise within the school.

As well as those with experience as a Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher, we would welcome applications from recent graduates who are considering a career in education and would like to obtain further experience within a secondary school environment before enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme. We would also like to hear from you if you have similar transferable experience in which you have supported young people, such as those who have worked as a Teaching Assistant or who have run Youth Clubs/ worked in Youth Work.

• Full time hours available as a Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher
• Paid up to £70 a day, dependent on experience and qualifications
• Working within a large modern secondary school in Heywood
• Further development and training opportunities available

Whilst working as a Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher you will be required to cover pre set lesson plans that have been set by the class teacher. Excellent communication skill are essential as you must deliver the pre set work and help the pupils with any queries or assistance they have to the best of your ability. Although no previous experience is required, you should have a passion for education and working with young people and be confident in your self to control the classroom and ensure all safeguarding and behaviour policies are being followed at all times.
