Unqualified Learning Assistant

£89.38 per day

Monday – Friday (Full time and part time available)

8:30-3:30 – No Weekends!

We at Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a specialist provision based in the Bridgend area. The provision supports young people from the ages of 3 all the way up to 19 years of age with ALN (additional learning needs) and EBD (Emotional and behavioural difficulties).

The Role:

As an unqualified learning assistant, your role will involve nurturing both the personal and academic growth of young individuals, guided by their tailored development plans. These plans are created through the school’s assessment process and will help you understand how best to support each student.

Your support will extend beyond the classroom, with a strong emphasis on sensory and hands-on learning experiences that are central to the school’s approach. Encouraging a positive mindset and fostering independence will be key to building meaningful relationships with the students and helping them form a healthy, constructive connection with their education.

To ensure you feel confident and well-prepared, comprehensive training will be provided by Teaching Personnel.

  • A knowledge or willingness to learn how to support young people within an alternative education environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
