SEN Teaching Assistant – Cardiff
Salary: £89.38 per day
Location: Cardiff
Hours: 08:30–15:30
Start Date: ASAP
We at Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a specialist provision in Cardiff dedicated to pupils aged 11–16 with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. This role will include working alongside ALN (additional learning needs) individuals and those with PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties). We’re recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants who are committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people who require tailored emotional and academic support. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Assist teachers with differentiated learning activities and interventions
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Track pupil progress and report to teaching staff and SENCO
- Support with personal care tasks when required (training provided)
✅ Candidate Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check (we’ll help you obtain this!)
- Education workforce council (we’ll help you obtain this!)
- Experience supporting children with SEN (preferred but not essential)
- Empathetic, patient, and resilient mindset
- Passionate, dedicated and motivated individual
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
