Job description

I am currently looking for a number of Tutors who can work with pupils who are being educated outside of mainstream education.  The majority of the pupils who require tuition are secondary aged and are working towards their functional skills qualifications or in some cases their GCSE’s, so tutors must  be academically able and feel confident in planning and delivering sessions up to GCSE Maths and English.  In certain cases the pupils who require tuition are already attending a School or College, so the tuition will be required to supplement their education so in these particular cases tuition will be required for 4 - 6 hours per week.

The tuition is for pupils who are being educated outside of mainstream. They could be being educated outside of mainstream for a variety of reasons including: pregnancy, LAC pupils, SEMH needs or extreme challenging behaviour. In order to be considered for the role you need to be either be a Fully Qualified Teacher or have significant tutoring experience. 

You will need to have the appropriate skills needed to build effective working relationships with pupils in order to engage them and support them in achieving the best possible outcomes.

In order to be considered for the positions you will need:

- Fully Qualified Teacher Status or significant tutoring experience

- An in depth subject knowledge across GCSE subjects

-  The ability to build strong relationships with pupils
