Job Title: Tutor needed in Sandhurst!

Company Branding:

  • Monday – Friday (excluding Tuesdays) 9:30-12:00. Tuesdays will be 9:30-11:30.
  • Supporting a year 9 pupil in Maths, English, and Reading
  • GU47 area in the pupil's home with an adult present
  • Close work around increasing his reading ability currently below age expectations
  • Desired outcomes of Intervention: Improvement in reading and English and maths to sustain current age expectations
  • SEMH
  • Starting as soon as possible

Job Duties:

Deliver tutoring sessions focused on improving reading, English, and maths skills for a year 9 pupil

Work closely with the pupil to increase reading ability to meet age expectations

Create engaging and interactive learning activities to support learning goals

Required Qualifications:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification

Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum

Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles

Good understanding of special educational needs and interventions

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in special educational needs support

Experience in one-to-one tutoring

Working Conditions:

Part-time hours

Tutoring in the pupil's home in the GU47 area with an adult present

Flexible schedule based on pupil's needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
