If you are a Tutor or an experienced Teacher living in Derby or South Derbyshire, who is looking to undertake 1:1 tuition roles, we would love to hear from you!

Since the beginning of the academic year so far, we have been inundated with reeferrals for 1:1 tuition requests, and we are anticipating a high volume to continue coming through over the coming weeks, as exclusions in the schools begin to rise!

We work with a broad range of Local Authority Clients and independent provisions, including:

  • Virtual Schools (specifically for Looked After Children)
  • SEN teams for pupils with EHCP
  • SEN teams for pupils with no EHCP but no school placement
  • Alternative provisions
  • Specialist independent provisions for SEN pupils

We are looking for tutors who are:

  • Passionate about making a difference to some of the most hard to reach, vulnerable young people
  • Interested in part time OR full time work (each referral is different depending on the levels of funding and how disengaged the pupil may be)
  • Experienced in planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons in core subjects and any other subjects the students require (on an individual basis)
  • Experienced with SEN in particular with Mental Health, anxiety, Autism and challenging behaviour
  • Experienced and/or knowledgable in Attachment Disorder and the impact of Childhood Trauma
  • Confident to manage challenging behaviour where required
  • Able to engage disaffected pupils and try to encourage them to participate in education
  • Able to work professionally with foster carers and residential home staff
  • Competent at providing detailed, extensive feedback outlining student strengths and areas for development

For additional information or if you are interested in this type of work, please apply or call the branch today on the number provided!
