Job Title: Outreach Tutor

Job Duties:

The KS2 Intervention Outreach SEN Tutor will work with Key Stage 2 students who require additional support in Special Educational Needs (SEN). Duties include creating individualised learning plans, delivering tailored lessons, monitoring progress, and collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure the student's academic success.

Required Qualifications:

A relevant teaching qualification, experience working with SEN students, and a strong understanding of KS2 curriculum and SEN strategies.

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field.

Experience:

Prior experience working as a tutor or teacher in a similar role.

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of SEN best practises, ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in assessing student progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional SEN training or certification, experience in outreach programmes, and knowledge of local education policies.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with students in learners homes or local settings. The position is part-time and temporary, with flexible hours based on student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
