Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Intervention Tutor

Location:

England, Greater London, Stratford

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students preparing for their English and Maths GCSE exams
  • Create and implement individualised lesson plans based on students' needs and learning styles
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Help students improve their understanding of key concepts, problem-solving skills, and exam-taking strategies
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to provide progress updates and support

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring English and Maths at the GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, with flexibility in scheduling tutoring sessions
  • Work primarily in learners homes or local libraries
  • Opportunity to positively impact students' academic success

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
