Job description

Alternative Provision Tutor – Newcastle

TP Tutors are seeking Alternative Provision tutors in Newcastle to support children unable to access mainstream education. You will provide tailored learning in core subjects while supporting pupils with wider personal and social development.

The Role:

  • Planning and delivering sessions across a range of subjects.
  • Creating engaging and supportive learning environments.
  • Focusing on both academic and personal development.
  • Using flexible strategies to support varied needs.
  • Feeding back progress to schools and Local Authorities.

Tutor Requirements:

  • Professional teaching qualifications are preferred.
  • Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • 2 professional references covering at least 24 months from the last 10 years.
  • An enhanced child workforce DBS or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
