Are you experienced in working with young people with SEND or SEMH needs? Looking for a tutoring role where every session has real purpose?

TP Tutors is recruiting compassionate, skilled tutors in Hull to support learners on a 1:1 basis — often outside the mainstream classroom. You'll be providing tailored tuition that supports both academic progress and emotional wellbeing, helping young people build confidence and trust through education.

This role is ideal for individuals who have worked in SEND, PRU, pastoral, or therapeutic education environments and want to make a meaningful difference.

✅ We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with SEND/SEMH learners (school, support, or tutoring settings)

• Confident in adapting lessons to suit individual learning needs

• Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent

• Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)

• Up-to-date safeguarding training

• QTS not essential, but a teaching/support background is required

• Ability to build strong, consistent relationships with young people

• Driving licence is a plus for home or off-site tuition

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
