Job description

SEND/SEMH is a pivotal part of the educational sector, and is growing more by the day. Students require various levels of support in both their personal and academic lives, and we strive to be there to meet their needs. If you are an educator with experience within this area, we would be intrigued to hear from you.

We are currently looking for tutors within the Grantham area to help support students within schools or through Local Authorities. The ideal educators will have experience working with student with a variety of SEND/SEMH needs in different environments. The educator should also have a trusting, patient and compassionate approach to learning, and making sure that the student is safe and comfortable before proceeding with tuition/support work.

The pay rate for a tutor varies from £25-£30 per hour, dependant on experience, roles and the demands of the student. We would ideally like educators with a drivers license, as travel may be required depending on where the tuition may take place.

Requirements for the role:).

-          A desire to promote and encourage, as well as motivate themselves.

-          An excellent grasp and understanding of the English Language.

-          An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).

-          A strong subject knowledge of the specialism and curriculum of your choice.

-          Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.

-          GCSE delivery experience (Desirable) and UK Delivery experience (Essential).

-          Professional references from your most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
