Job description

Job Title: Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Braintree

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £25 - £30 per hour

Job Duties:

The KS2 SEN Outreach Tutor will be responsible for providing individualised support to primary school students with special educational needs in English and Maths. Duties include delivering tailored lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with teachers and parents to develop personalised learning plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 English and Maths curriculum

Education:

A degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching and supporting students with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in SEN support
  • Experience in delivering outreach support to students

Working Conditions:

This is a temporary part-time position, expected to work flexible hours. The role involves travelling to different learners homes or local libraries.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
