Job Title: KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Aveley

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

• Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to support students' learning and development
• Assess individual student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to monitor student progress

Required Qualifications:

• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
• Experience working with students with SEN
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• A relevant degree in Education or a related field
• Proven experience in delivering effective tutoring sessions
• Understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training in SEN education
• Experience working in outreach or community-based educational settings

Working Conditions:

• Part-time hours, flexible schedule
• Temporary position with the possibility of extension
• Work primarily in learners homes or local libraries

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
