Job description

Job Title: KS2 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Aveley

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one support to Key Stage 2 (KS2) students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans based on students' needs
  • Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions to enhance learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' progress
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with SEN students in a tutoring or teaching capacity
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience working with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs (SEN)
  • Experience in delivering outreach or home tutoring services

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours with flexibility
  • Work primarily in a learners home or local library
  • Potential travel to different locations within the East of England region

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
