TEACHING ASSISTANT

DERBY (DE22)

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support an SEND pupil who attends a primary school in the DE22 area of Derby.

The pupil has Autism and requires 1:1 support in the classroom. He is Year 3

The role involves:

  • Working within the classroom to try and keep the student engaged in his lessons
  • Supporting the class teacher
  • Delivering intervention on a 1:1 basis to help the pupil develop social and emotional skills, plus academis skills
  • Managing behaviour where appropriate
  • Reporting daily on learning objectives, outcomes and attendance
  • Being responsible for the welfare of the pupil at all times and dealing with safeguarding concerns as and when appropriate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
