TEACHING ASSISTANT
DERBY (DE22)
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support an SEND pupil who attends a primary school in the DE22 area of Derby.
The pupil has Autism and requires 1:1 support in the classroom. He is Year 3
The role involves:
- Working within the classroom to try and keep the student engaged in his lessons
- Supporting the class teacher
- Delivering intervention on a 1:1 basis to help the pupil develop social and emotional skills, plus academis skills
- Managing behaviour where appropriate
- Reporting daily on learning objectives, outcomes and attendance
- Being responsible for the welfare of the pupil at all times and dealing with safeguarding concerns as and when appropriate
