Trainee Teaching Assistant Wanted

Are you finishing your degree and looking for a career?

Are you considering becoming a teacher?

Have you always thought you would be good workign with children?

If you answered yes to any of the above then this role is perfect for you!

As a trainee teaching assistant you would be given training to support children in education. You would become a role model to children with learning disabilities or a special need.

This is a great way to start your career in teaching. You may have just finished your degree and not know what to do next. Use what you have learnt through your degree and put it into practice. It can be from your psychology degree testing out skinners behaviour theory or your sports degree setting out achievable goals!

What you would do:

  • Support a child 1:1 in a classroom setting
  • Be proactive and engaging
  • Become a role model!
  • Help others in the class if your pupil is getting on with the work set

We are working closely with the Headteacher of this secondary school to make sure we find the right trainee teaching assistant for the school. In return you will be given all the training needed to go onto a PGCE or continue up the ladder as a teaching assistant.

The school has a large support department that caters for a range of learning difficulties and special needs! This support department are very welcoming and they will be heavily involved in your training.

A bit more about the role:

  • Full time - school hours 8.30am to 3pm
  • Pay per day £57 starting (
  • Based in a secondary school
  • Training provided!
