WHAT: Teaching Assistant

WHERE: Secondary school in Newport

WHEN: Start after October half term

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a teaching assistant for a secondary school in Newport who can work full time or day to day. The hours are flexible to suit your needs. Experience as a teaching assistant is desirable but not essential as we will consider any experience working with children or in care work. Your personality and attitude is the main factor when choosing the correct candidate for the position. A kind, calming and reliable person is required in order to be empathetic and offer stability to the children. A minimum of core GCSE’s is required.

The job as a teaching assistant consists of working 1:1 and in small groups with children with either challenging behaviour or special educational needs. These children require extra care and attention within the classroom which you would be providing. You will build a rapport with the child in order to gain their attention and help them focus on the work, aiding their learning.

The pay is GBP285 to GBP300 per week and there is potential for a permanent position.
