Textiles Teacher with the ability to support other subjects in the Art & Design Department

My partner Secondary School in Bradford, BD6 are seeking to appoint a full time Textiles Teacher who will teach the KS3 and KS4 curriculum to start mid November. As a Textiles Teacher, working in the schools successful Art & Design Department, you will also be required to support in other subject areas including Food Technology, Product Design and Art so a broad knowledge of the subject area is essential. This role is perfect for an established Textiles Teacher looking for a new and challenging teaching position. The role is also suitable to a Textiles NQT who is seeking experience in a school offering a fantastic working environment.

The ideal candidate will:

-          Ideally hold UK recognised teaching qualification (QTS, NQT, PGCE etc.)

-          Have a degree in Textiles, Fabrication, Design etc or similar subject

-          Have experience teaching Textiles to KS3 and KS4 students

-          Hold a DBS Certificate on the update service

-          Be able to demonstrate positive behaviour management techniques

-          Are passionate towards their subject and have the ability to motivate students via creative and engaging lessons.
