Teaching Assistants Required

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a fantastic SEN school in Newport (NP44). The head of the school are looking to recruit an aspiring teaching assistant to join there successful team starting November 4th. The role revolves around a year 4 pupil with Autism (ASD). You may also be utilised in other parts of the school. The school caters for a wide age range – (2-19). The aim of the school is to provide a rich learning environment with a variety of learning experiences which are geared towards enabling each pupil to experience success in a happy, caring and secure environment. School based experience is not essential however; relevant experience or transferable skills will be desired.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be passionate about special educational needs.
  • Have full time availability (Monday - Friday 8:30- 3:30/4)
  • Be confident handling challenging behaviour
  • Need to have a DBS (Or be willing to get one)
  • Need to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Provide two successful references from their last 2 employers

Salary-

  • GBP285 - GBP300 per week

We pay using PAYE and do not pay using an umbrella company (no hidden admin fees!)
