Teaching Personnel have been working in partnership with a Specialist School in Maidenhead for 6 years. They have asked us to help in there search for Teaching Assistants to join their team.The school has numerous roles starting in January 20221 including:

KS1 Teaching Assistant – Autism and Speech Langugae Comminucation challenges 

KS3 Teaching Assistant– Autism and Social Emotional Mental Health Needs

Each class will have a small number of pupils (8-11) and all children will have an individual EHCP in place. The class consists of numerous highly experienced teaching assistants on hand to support with behaviour management, speech language development and emotional needs. Teaching Assistants will report pupil’s progress to the Class Teacher who will liaise with professionals to further aid development.

Responsibilities

Adapting communication to meet each individual unique needs, inside and outside of the classroom

Supporting pupils 121 or in small groups

Liaising with professional including the SALT (speech and language therapist), Educational Psychologists and Social Workers

Preparing resources 

Attending weekly and annual meetings with school staff and professionals

Requirements

The school requires Teaching Assistants who have completed GCSE's. You need to be available to take on a full time role (Monday – Friday)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
