Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Ammanford
⏰ Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Daily Rate: £89.35
Start Date: 2nd June 2025

Teaching Personnel is on the lookout for two enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a Welsh Medium Primary Schools in Ammanford SA18 our vibrant and welcoming community school in Ammanford, they are committed to providing a supportive and enriching environment for both our students and staff. As a school that embraces the Welsh language, we are proud to deliver education through the medium of Welsh. We are currently looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.
The Role:
We are seeking two Teaching Assistants who are passionate about education and keen to support our students in their learning journey. The successful candidate will be working closely with our teaching staff to provide high-quality support in the classroom, helping students to thrive academically and socially.
This role will involve assisting with Welsh language lessons, supporting students with their individual needs, and encouraging a positive and collaborative learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for working with children and a hands-on approach to teaching. They will be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working as part of a team, with the ability to work well under pressure and think on their feet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons through the medium of Welsh.
- Assist students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for students who need extra help.
- Help with classroom organization and general administrative duties.
- Encourage students to take pride in their learning and develop a love for the Welsh language.
About You:
- A passion for education and working with children.
- Fluency in Welsh is essential.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to get involved and take initiative.
- Flexible, adaptable, and a strong team player.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
