Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant Needed
Location: Vale of Glamorgan
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
Pay: £89 – £110 per day based on experience (paid weekly)
Start Date: January
Do you speak Welsh confidently and enjoy supporting children in their learning? A warm, supportive primary school in the Vale of Glamorgan is seeking an enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join their team this January.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to help pupils develop their skills through the Welsh language while gaining valuable experience in a classroom setting. No formal qualifications are required — just positivity, reliability, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
Your Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher with delivering engaging, interactive lessons

Provide one-to-one and small-group support through Welsh

Assist in preparing activities, learning materials, and classroom resources

Encourage pupils to build confidence and develop key skills

Help with supervision during lessons, activities, and break times

Confident Welsh speaker (spoken and written)

Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic attitude

A proactive approach and willingness to get involved

Good communication and teamwork skills

Experience working with children (desirable but not required)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
