Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Primary School in the Vale
️ Start Date: 5th January 2026
Role: Full-time
About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly primary school team in the Vale from January. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and development across the school.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted support to pupils in class, in small groups, or 1:1
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities
Help create a positive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
Support pupils with a range of educational needs, including SEN
⭐ Encourage positive behaviour and help develop pupils’ confidence and independence
Contribute to planning, assessing, and record-keeping where appropriate
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
❤️ Has experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
Is patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting all learners
️ Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Can use their initiative and adapt to the needs of the classroom
Is reliable, organised, and passionate about helping children thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
