Teaching Assistant - Walthamstow
A special needs school in Walthamstow are currently seeking an experienced teaching assistant supporting students with Autism and challenging behaviour to begin in January. The school based in Walthamstow are part of a multisite academy and provide a range of training such as Team Teach and autism awareness training.
About the role:
You will be providing additional support in a KS3 class catering to students with autism and challenging behaviour. As a teaching assistant you will need to contribute in group activities and also provide 1:1 assistance when needed. Teaching assistants who have been successful are individuals who are interactive with the pupils and also enthusiastic in working with special educational needs.
The school:
- Support students with a range of special educational needs between the ages of 2-19
- Cater to students with Autism, PMLD, SEMH, SLD, complex needs
- Multisite academy provides opportunity for career progression and onsite training (Team Teach, Autism awareness, Safeguarding trained)
