A full-time Speech and Language Support Assistant is required for a primary school in Middleton on a temporary contract.

• Full-time role
• Providing 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil during class
• March start

This ‘Good’ rated primary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant with S&L experience to work alongside a pupil with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) to start in March on an indefinte contract due to the school receiving additional funding. 

The headteacher is determined to ensure all pupils have the best possible education and attain the highest standard. The identified child has communication, speech and language needs and requires  additional support to stay focused in class using visual prompts - behaviour can be challenging as the child can be easily distracted and frustrated as they struggle to communicate.

This is a great opportunity at a school which is aiming to become ‘Outstanding’. You would be working closely with the school SENCO to help aid learning in school as much as possible, this is a great place to work, with a friendly environment and a hard-working ethic.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
