Are you a Teaching Assistant looking to support primary aged pupils with special needs?
Our school are rated 'Outstanding' by Ofstead and provide a modified curriculum to suit students with special educational needs. The pupils have a mixed range of disabilities including complex learning needs and autism spectrum disorder and will need to give extra support to the students throughout their day.
Teaching assistants can be expected but not limited to; classroom support with behaviour and learning, mobility support, speech and language therapy, sensory input and personal care.
Candidates ideally will have had experience in SEN and primary education before and are trained in one of the following areas:
Team-teach
PECS/Makaton
Autism Awareness
Child Safeguarding
Teaching Personnel can provide these training courses however already having these skills would be a bonus.
