Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Temporary)
Location: York
Pay: £90 – £110 per day
We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school in York on a full-time, temporary basis. If you’re passionate about education and helping children reach their full potential, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:

Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Work one-to-one or in small groups to support pupil learning and development.
-
Assist with classroom management and create a positive learning environment.

✏️ Help prepare lesson materials and resources.

Provide encouragement, motivation, and pastoral support to pupils.
✅ Requirements:

Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting (desirable).

A patient, supportive, and proactive attitude.
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

️ Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
-
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
