A Primary School in Burnley is seeking two dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistants to join the school’s local authority maintained SEND unit.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a specialist, nurturing team supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We are looking for individuals who are patient, proactive, and committed to helping every child reach their potential.

What the Role Involves

• Supporting children within a specialist SEND provision, including pupils with ASD.
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of personalised learning activities.
• Promoting pupils’ communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
• Implementing behaviour support strategies and contributing to a safe, inclusive environment.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.

We Are Looking For

• Experience working within a SEND provision and/or supporting children with ASD.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils.
• A positive, resilient, and child‑centred approach.
• A team player who can adapt, use initiative, and support a variety of needs.

Successful candidates will be appointed at Grade 4 in line with Local Authority pay scales.
